At 12:22 p.m., West Orange police responded to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of Lakeside Avenue in West Orange and found the unidentified victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and West Orange Police Chief James Abbott said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:44 p.m., Stephens and Abbott said.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, Stephens and Abbott said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tips line at1-877-847-7432.
